Description
With this course, you will receive a thorough introduction to the HTML and CSS development platforms, as well as an introduction to JavaScript, which together form the holy trinity of web design. You will learn how to build a stunning home page with a photo gallery, an innovative contact form to allow your visitors to contact you, and your own online store, using compelling animation, transition, and transformation techniques to create outstanding web content.

The course is in a modern, multimedia, online format, and will be continuously updated as web technology evolves, so it is always up-to-date with the latest developments. Also, on successful completion of the course, the student will receive our own Certification with feedback as well as a Level 3 Open Awards Quality Endorsed Unit Course Certificate.
Software Requirements
The Webmaster – HTML and CSS for Beginners Course can be completed on a PC or Apple Mac computer. The course will include links to various software packages and resources so Internet Access is required. The course requires Notepad++ (or an equivalent text editor) and an HTML5-compliant browser and links to suitable options are included.
Prerequisites
There aren’t any particular entry requirements, although it is recommended that students have a good understanding of using computers, a working knowledge of using text editors, the experience of downloading and installing software packages, a basic knowledge of file compression software and experience using web browsers and email.
Course Duration & Support
Students can enrol at any time and are fully supported for one year and will have access to a personal tutor via email. As the course is self-study, you can complete it in as little or as long a time as you prefer within the one-year period and extensions are available for a small fee.
Assessment
You will be assessed on the completed assignments contained in the training programme. The coursework consists of individual web pages. Your work can be sent to your course tutor by email or by post upon completion of your training.
Certification
On successful completion of this course students will receive our Webmaster – HTML and CSS for Beginners Diploma with feedback on your work and providing the assignments have been completed to the required standard, students will also receive a Level 3 Open Awards Quality Endorsed Unit Course Certificate with 8 Open Awards Credits.
The completion of this course alone does not lead to an Ofqual regulated qualification but may be used as evidence of knowledge and skills towards regulated qualifications in the future. To this end the learning outcomes of the course have been benchmarked at Level 3 against level descriptors published by Ofqual, to indicate the depth of study and level of difficulty involved in successful completion by the learner.
The certification is issued through Open Awards in association with DLC which is an approved Open Awards centre. Open Awards are an Awarding Body Organisation approved by Ofqual.
