Description

The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RFQ) will prepare you for working in the adult education sector. It will introduce you to the roles and responsibilities of a tutor, plan lessons and schemes of work, and examine the use of assessment in a group setting. It is the perfect qualification for professionals who are looking to change careers or develop their CVs.

What will I learn?

You will learn about the roles, responsibilities and relationships that a teacher and tutor are required to maintain during their teaching practice. You will also look at inclusive teaching practices, equality and diversity, safeguarding and different learning approaches. Finally, you will learn about the different types of assessments and how they are used to make sure that your learners really understand the information you provide during your teaching.

How will I learn?

Using a series of videos, slides and assessments you will be guided through each unit and provided all the information you need to be successful in this qualification.

Requirements

Although no formal qualifications are required upon entry, all trainee teachers joining this qualification programme will undertake an assessment of skills in English, mathematics and ICT.

Assessment

Learners will be required to complete a portfolio of evidence. This qualification also requires each learner to complete a microteaching session, which is observed and assessed by a qualified and experienced education assessor.

Students will complete the course with an Open Awards Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RFQ).
