System readiness check

Before you begin

This check uses your browser’s built-in features to help you confirm that your camera, microphone, and internet connection are working correctly before your exam.

  • No video, audio, or screen content is recorded or stored by this page.
  • No personal data is saved or sent to BMH Training when you run these checks.
  • Camera and microphone access is used only to test that your device is working.
  • You can stop access at any time using your browser’s permission settings.

During your exam, camera, microphone, and screen sharing will be used only within the Microsoft Teams meeting, in line with exam regulations and invigilator instructions.

You may be asked to allow camera/microphone access.

Tip: If anything fails, try a different browser (Chrome/Edge), restart the device, or switch network.

Camera check

Select your camera and start the preview.

Microphone check

Speak normally during the test (about 1–2 seconds).

Internet speed check

This measures download speed using a test file on our website.

Tip: VPNs and shared Wi-Fi can affect results.

How to share your full screen in Microsoft Teams (required)

You must share your entire screen (desktop), not a single window or tab.

  1. Join your Teams meeting (desktop app recommended).
  2. Click the Share button (rectangle with an arrow).
  3. Select Screen / Desktop (e.g. Screen 1).
  4. Ask the invigilator to confirm they can see your full desktop.
  5. Keep Teams open. If sharing stops, restart it immediately.

Avoid:

  • Sharing a single application window
  • Sharing a browser tab
  • Closing or minimising Teams
